Note: Autoethnography differs from Autobiography in the focus it places on introspection and self-analysis in conjunction with journaling or self-chronicling. Rather than a mere narrative presentation or portrayal of self, autoethnography is an academic tool designed for the deep study, analysis, understanding, and ultimately improvement of self. This is what qualifies Dr. JJ's narrative presentations (in his books and articles) as autoethnography as opposed to mere autobiography.
